According to the statistics of the Department of Information Security, 9.503 cyber-attacks causing incidents to the national information system were recorded, alerted, and resolved during the first 9 months of 2023. An in-depth report published at the 18th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (ARES 2023) in Benevento, Italy showed that the majority of network-based businesses have been adversely impacted by malware attacks, leading to several damages such as decreased revenue, brand damage, employee layoffs, and even the entire business shut down.
